She looked up at the clock when she heard a banging sound coming through the floor. It was time. With a hefty sigh, she pushed the papers away. Sometimes she wished she didn’t have to live life like she was in a simulation. Like there was a remote control but half of the actual control in her hands; like her life had two leashes, the delicate one in her hand while the other in someone else’s. She never really had complete control over anything.
